Do you mean you are shooting house flys with salt or sugar loads out of an airgun? How do you come up with these things? I have an old crack open air rifle. Might give it a try.
Did you know that small rifle/pistol primers shoot well out of a 177cal pellet gun?
Oh that sounds fun. Sitin on the back porch waitin for the buffalo flies to arrive. We have these big lumbering buffalo flies used for pest control. These flies are big and slow. More fun than a swatter for sure.

When I was a wee lad I would pull the bullets out of .22 shells and stuff them with toilet paper and shoot flies. Also shot those huge roaches when I was stationed in Florida. But that was considered Big Game hunting. LOL

I've had lots of fun with flies and an airgun. I used rotting/fresh fruit to attract them. Once they landed on the dirt, I would shoot the dirt near them to blast and stun them. Then I would put them into the barrel (it was a break open to pump). They fit quite nicely. They then would be shot at walls and stuff, you could still see one or two legs sticking out of the splat mark.

i didn't realize small pistol primers were .17 cal..... light as they are they can't be very accurate can they??
