I wanted to report my findings after buying a Vibrashine tumbler. It has the same motor that is installed in all of them, but the bowl is cavernous, and for a rifle looney, that's a blessing. I noted several things, one is that you can mix chemicals in with your media. In my Lyman 600, those acts resulted in a melted lid. Next, the mfr. says never to move it while its running. Maybe I missed that in the instructions for the Lyman... At any rate, for $86 I feel I got a great tumbler. Merkel 140A- .470NE Beretta Vittoria- 12 Ga. J.P. I just went to vibrashine.com (or whatever) and saw that they also have a media separator that fits over the mouth of their tumbler. What a novel idea! I will now drill a hole in the center of my separator and enjoy speedier, easier shake-out of media from my precious brass. Thanks, 3584ELK, for the post.

the tumbler supplied with the moly kit is more powerful, I bought a few of them that I use for molycoating and case cleaning. best separator is the Dillon squirrel cage especially the large one for my .50 BMG. and the best media is mine, of course.
