Anyone have a suggestion for loading 350 grain, gas checked, cast bullets in a 416 Rem Mag?

Just looking for a powder and a starting load.

Thanks, Joe.

Joe -
Goe to Accurate Arms website http://www.accuratearms.com/ and poke around. They list a variety of loads with XMP5744 and cast bullets for the 416.

Did you cast your own, or buy them commercially (I'm looking for some, too).

I played with that a few years ago. I cast some 400 grain .410 bullets from wheel weights gave them a couple of wraps of teflon tape and shot them over IMR4831. They did pretty well for accuracy. I have lost my notes so I apologize for not being able to give an exact charge. As I recall velocity was about 200 FPS if that helps.

Thanks, I'll see what I can find. I think I picked these bullets up off of E-bay. They seem to be decent, just to look at them.

Joe.
