SmartReloader Case Trimmer?

I've been using the Lee Trimmer with a drill for a long time now and have been really pleased with how well they work until I have to do a lot of brass at a time. Right now I'm working on nearly 2000 LC 5.56 pieces and after about 50 my hands start and if I accidently give the drill too much juice then the case is jerked loose and can damage the whole setup.

I've been looking around and stumbled on the SmartReloader SR777 at Grafs. It seems to use be fairly universal. Anybody have experience with this product?

I have an old lyman works ok for me. I could not see how the case would be held.
If I were in the market today and price want an issue I would get the rcbs

2000 cases is alot of cranking.
This is alot easier on the hands. I use it and like it.

How I do it. The 5/8" open-end wrench fits over the threaded collar that holds the shell. I can insert, tighten, trim, chamfer and remove a case in about 25 seconds. The trimming tool never leaves my hand. Saves lots of time...

Thanks for the info guys. I too questioned how that trimmer held the case.

I'm not necessarily in the market for a power trimmer...just one that is more efficient than my Lee...Although Homebrewer may have just fixed that for me.

"SmartReloader" huh? You know what they're implying don't you? If you don't use their trimmer you're dumb.

As ted horn notes, it looks similar, except for color, to my Redding trimmer which I don't like that much. I trashed a cutter head after trimming just a few nickel plated cases and replacements cost ~ $18. I got it complete with missing parts. After trimming two or 3 thousand cases with it, it sounds a bit rough when I use it. If the same people make it as make the Redding unit, I wouldn't buy it.

I finally went for an RCBS Trim Pro Power Case Trimmer when I was faced with trimming several thousand cases and I've never regretted it. If you use the RCBS 3-way cutters with it, you trim and chamfer all at the same time which is a big time saver.

BTW, I haven't tried it.....I use an adaptation of a Wilson trimmer to a drill press!

Amen. That or the regular RCBS trimmer with 3-way cutter and power drill adapter. Next best thing to getting a Gracey or Giraud trimmer.
