I have quite a few rem 700's, and always heard that the torque you put on the 2 allen screws can mess with you accuracy. I just bought a fat torque wrench screwdriver from Midway and was just wondering if some of you pros can enlighten me on what kind of torque I should be putting on them after a cleaning. Thanks

If your rifles have a wood or synthetic stock,40" pounds is the proper setting on the fat Wrench. If your stocks are pillar bedded, they you can go to 60" pounds. There should have been that info in the instructions that came with the Fat Wrench.

I use 60 inch/pounds on the front screw and 45 inch/pounds on the rear screw. Some use 60 inch/pounds on both, it's a matter of consistency, try both and see what the accuracy is like.

Cheers.
