Has anyone used the 300 gr Hornady roundnose in a 375 HH on big game (cape bullalo) was the bullet performance acceptaable?

Not sure if this helps, but they go right through about a .5" of steel plate.

Makes about a .5" or so hole.

I have shot a wildebeest with them with adequate results but the 375 pretty much always does have good results on wildebeest regardless of the bullet so it probably doesn't tell you much.

Post this on the African hunting forum. If you do I bet you would get several replies telling you to use a "premium" bullet for cape buffalo.( Northfork, Swift, Barnes etc. ) I would if I ever get to shoot a buffalo.
