As many of us know, if you work up until the primer falls out, you have worked up too far. It is time to work back down. Try to maintain a safety margin away from the loads that made the primer fall out. Measure the extractor groove expansion with dial calipers. The primers can hang on like chads, but the extractor groove expansion is more repeatable. Any extractor groove expansion is too much, if reloading the brass means anything to you. 6% less powder than the threshold of extractor groove expansion will make loads that look allot like the ones in better load books. | |||
