I'm wondering if someone could share some data on this combination with coated Parition Golds, as the Australian reloading manual by Nick Harvey (4th edition) lists a starting load of 68gns W760 with a max of 70gns. I've just cross checked the Winchester data that lists a starting load at 62gns and max of 66gns - 4gns less!

Having yesterday loaded a handful of fouling rounds at 67gns I'm cautious about using them, let alone loading upto 70gns!

Cheers

I thought these short magnums may be a passing fad. My 5th edition by Nick Harvey doesn't seem to have a 300 WSM listed??

Eastie

I have Nicks 4th,5th and 6th edition of his reloading manual and he only has data for the 300WSM in the 6th edition

For a 150-155 grain bullet(it doesn't say which bullet) it has a starting load of 68 grains of grains of W760 and a max load of 70 grains for 3250fps.

my sierra manual also lists W760 for the 300 WSM and 150-155 grain bullets, its starting load is 59.3 grains for 2800fps with a max load of 69 grains for 3150fps.

I think Nicks starting load is a little heavy.

You might also find some reloading data for your short mag on this site.
