Hi GerryB

I hunt exclusively with GS 160g HV.

My firearm only has a 21" barrel - so my load could be a touch heavy for 24" barrels.

LOAD
I stated load with S365 (South Africa) at 68g.
I get 3,150 fps with 73g of S365 in new Remingtn brass. My COL is 84.5 mm for my magazine.

EQUIVALENT POWDERS to s365 : IMR4350 / 4350 / REL19 / AR2209
ACCURACY
I typically get 0.75 MOA at hundred metres (110 yards).

RESULTS
I have taken 9 game animals (2 Eland 2 Kudu 1 Wildebeest 4 Warthogs)..all were 1 shot kills.

The largest being a bull Eland - 440kg at butcher - shot on shoulders at a distance of 230 meters in June last year. I only recovered one bullet in the Eland and it had 100% weight retention

Hope this helps

Regards and safe shooting

i am new to these bullets but like what i have read that puts your bullet very close to the lands i assume. did accuracy suffer if seated deeper? thanks

Hi Gerry

My location : Gauteng
Hunting regions : All bushveld to Free State

Note I loaded to fit my magazine as it is a hunting rifle.

GENERAL COMMENT
Since I load several calibers I have found that the seating depth adjustment had much less impact than with conventional bullets in my rifle.

I believe that the bore-alignment / entry force requirement of GS Custom bullets is substantially less.

The ideal would be as close to lands as possible BUT remember you must have enough of the bullet in the case for 2 reasons:
1. The hold the bullet
2. To Align the bullet

I make sure I have at least 2 Driving bands of the GS Custom in the case.

Reload and Shoot Safely and True
