Does anyone know where I can find some new nickle plated 375 h&h brass?

I don't think that I have seen unfired cases on the market, but most
factory loaded premium 375 H&H comes in nickel cases. I'd say buy a few
boxes of Federal's Nosler loads and shoot them up if you really want
them.

Winchester markets .375 H&H brass, but it is not the pretty silver stuff. Goes for around $165 for 500.

Never have seen it available as a component even though much is used in factory loads. I used to look for it, but have since decided I prefer un-plated brass for all my reloading.

Dumb question... I've never used nickle plated brass. My question is why? Besides it looks cool and doesn't tarnish is there any other reason to use it.

I have heard that it is more brittle and you get less reloads ???

Ed, I don't think so! I've been looking for new empty nickel-plated .375 H&H brass for years, even to the point of considering reforming some nickel .300 Weatherby brass. Haven't done that yet, though!!

Don't know why .375 is unavailable in nickel in new unprimed cases. Neither is 7mm STW or 8mm Remington, while the somewhat less common .300 Wby is.

BTW, I haven't had all that much trouble loading nickel, and have found its life, especially when neck-sized only with a Lee Collet die, to be almost infinate. Nickel seems prefered by pistol shooters, who have loaded literally billions of rounds of it. That's why I'm puzzled why it has gotten a bad rap among rifle shooters?

I agree with Stonecreek. I use nickel cases for all hunting ammo (when I can find it) because it stays cleaner in the field, and does not corrode in leather cartridge belts or wallets.

When applicable, I use nickle for solids and brass for softs, keeps things sorted for me..I always know what I am shooting or loading on dangerous game...

Reloaded some once fired brass nickle 375H&H casings and nickle started to flake off some of the casings and I used those only for practice and took brass reloads to Africa for safari...
