Anyone tried the new for 2013 RCBS "Summit" single stage reloading press part No. 9290. It's an interesting looking non O frame type press.

Now that is interesting! Like how it sits on top of the table. Probably strong enough for normal reloading but I don't think I'd use it foe case forming. That was the only problem with the old C frame press's. If it was even a problem. Not a lot of guy's did case forming and the old C press was fine otherwise. You have any idea what they fet for it?

This is a photo of a Wamadet press that was marketed in the UK. It is black and on the far right.

Ah...the Wamadet Portapress! There was a lot of gun "snobbery" here in UK and, because this was British and "home grown" a lot of people dismissed it. I never owned one, for that reason, well actually because I had an RCBS Rockchucker and loaded from a fixed bench. Fact is that for reloading in the field or at the range it was, if you had a vehicle to transport it there in, probably the BEST portable reloading set-up bar none. I've tried them all, the HDS Compac, Lyman 310, and etc., and this was because of the included base probably the best. But...compared to a true bench mounted press, like an RCBS Rockchucker, it had very limited access to the area where all the action took place. And I think had cartridge OAL length issues? Not suitbale for anything over 308 Winchester OAL? The lubrisizer "slube unit" however was truly awful, IMHO, and so was his Batson's Bullet Lube. Some UK loaders used to joke that he made his lube from the left over sump clearings from ex-WWII American Mack trucks that he'd found stored in old barrels since the GIs went back stateside.
