Hi, I've recently got back into shooting my revolver lately after a long affair with various semi-automatics. Does anyone have a favorite powder that is accurate and flows well through a measure? The measure on my Dillon 550 doesn't like flake powders very well. Thanks, Jeff

For use in my Python 6 inch I load 4.5 grains of Bullseye or 231 behind a 140 cast SWC (.3595-.360)in 357 cases. Same load I used to shoot Bullseye matches. I load these in a Dillon Square Deal, bought just for that purpose. Jim

5 grains of HS-6 behind a laser cast 148 dewc this was the load our pistol team used at the state shoot If I remember right there were 8 smith and wessons and 1 colt and 1 ruger,4 of the pistols were 4" and the rest were 6" these can be seated flush or long,we all seated them long to make speed loading faster.
I have 2 1/2" and 4" barrels on a Dan Wesson .357 and 4" S&W 686 waiting for me(also the rest of my money)at the local sporting good store. I shoot 148 gr lead DEWC and 150gr SWC. For jacketed bullets I've been shooting 125 hp Montana Golds and I've been eyeballing the Remington 158 gr. semi jacketed hp bullets on sale at Midway. Thanks, Jeff

my go to load for my model 15s is the little lee 105 semiwadcutter unsized and tumble lubed with 5.0 grains of redot. IT shoots great in my two guns and in the two my buddy has too.

Try HS6. I find that it meters very accurately in my old Redding Master measure... I use it in the .45 ACP mainly, but it should do well in the .38 Spec. and .357 mag. for target loads.
Jeff57, I have shot about 100 rounds at 18 gr and about 25 rounds at 26 gr.
That is not much for some, but allot for me. I go to the range about every two months, but buy more guns at the gun show every month. 50% of my guns I have not taken to the range. 90% of my guns I have not taken to the range more than once.
I suppose I should call it more of a 357 mag load, but I only shoot 38 specials.
Most handloaders would be well advised to stay away from anything I do, but my experiments show LIL'GUN to be a phenominal performer with very little pressure.
I use Titegroup for most of my "standard" round reloading in 9mm, .38 Spl, .45 ACP and .45 Colt. It is too fast a powder for magnum loads. It is very clean burning and a little goes a long way.
