Let me know your opinions on the two. I do mostly deer and elk hunting and am new to the reloading.

I don't think you can go wrong with either bullet. I load the Partition and TSX in several calibers with very good results. The TSX shoots smaller groups in my guns with my handloads, but I tend to prefer the reliable expansion of the Partitions. Six of one, half dozen of another from my perspective. Load 'em both and see what shoots best in your gun. On game performance is going to be more than adequate either way.

I've always been a NP guy. When the 'X' first came out I thought it was a great idea, but I could never get them to shoot even close to a NP. Now they have the TSX but the NP has been so reliable over the years, hard to switch. I'll try the TSX, but right now, NP or NorthFork then TSX. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

The Barnes X is a harder bullet than the Partition. I like the Barnes X bullets for African hunting and the Partition for hunting in North America in .375 and larger calibers. In .338 it six of one, half dozen of the other. Neither have failed me used this way. Mike -------------- DRSS, Womper's Club, NRA Life Member/Charter Member NRA Golden Eagles ... I shoot both in different weight in some of my guns. Try some heavy and light bullets of both types and see which ones your gun likes. My 375H&H will shoot the 300 grain TSX into bugholes but will not group the 270 grain TSX in twice the group size. It also loves the 260 grain Nosler partition so now I have a heavy and light load for the same gun. Iv'e had great luck with nosler partitions in 270 and 308 sizes. But I killed and big bull elk with a 165 tsx this fall with my 300wsm it was perfect. I also killed a 152+ wighttail with a tsx 130 out of my 270 wsm. It did the job but I'm going back to partitions in that one. I'm color blind and don't like tracking although I can do it. My 375HH loves the 260 partition and that is what I'm taking to Africa next month. When I get back I am going to try som 235 and 250 tsx's in it.

Although I have not done any tests,I suspect the TSX and other monometal bullets to cause greater bore erosion.

jwamp82 ----- I shot Nosler Partitions and Swift A-Frames for over 30 years and still do with some of my old tried and true loads. I have shot Barnes many times on Elk with excellent results and will still use them on occasions for a particular rifle. I thought the Nosler Partitions and Barnes and Swift A-Frames could not be improved upon until I discovered North Fork bullets. They are by far the toughest and most accurate premium bullet on the market in this country today. Think Sierra Matchking accuracy in a premium bullet. Good shooting. phurley
