I have been bitten by the wildcat bug and am frustrated by lack of info! The prodject I had planned first was to build a Rem 600, .257 cal. deer / antelope gun. No big deal so far right? Then I started looking at barrel makers lists of chamberings for .257 wildcats, got a catalog from Redding, and surfed the net for hours. I have yet to find a place, site, or listing for dimensions of various cartridges. I am looking at the .257 DGR but wonder about some of the larger capacity rounds. ( .257 DGR is based on the .260 Rem) Anyone know where to get the run down on wildcat specs?

I have not found a web site with much wildcat info. You will probably need to find a book on wildcat cartridges.

FWIW- The 257 Roberts AI should be worthy of consideration.

Try here. It's the most inclusive link I know of.
