I got excellent results with 42 grains of IMR 4064 and Sierra 168-grain match bullets in GI Match brass, Federal 210 primers, in an M14. So it should do about the same in an M1A. ------------------ | ||

Try 44.0gr. Varget with Hornady's 168BTHPM. There was also an interesting article in the August '94 issue of 'Modern Gun' on how to do a cheap accurizing job on the M1-A. I tried it and the result was 5 shot groups into just over an inch at 100 yds. with this load. Good luck! | ||

Sorry to jump into your topic here, but, I'm looking for some GI brass for the 7.62. I had a supply of LC-81's, but, they're getting long in the tooth. What GI brass are you using, and, where do you get it? Thanx, R-WEST | |||
