Does any one have some knowledge on an equivalent powder in place of AA5744 as in Australia the powder suggested is not available to my knowledge. This new request comes from my earlier request for reduced loads for a .450 N.E. 3.25"

It does not show at all on the ADI website as an alternative.

Thanks,

Jeff Gray

Hi Bartsche,

Unfortunately both AA5744 and H4759 are not available in Australia. I Emailed ADI who suggests their "Trailboss" and says it does similar results to AA5744

Any other thoughts are appreciated.

Cheers,

Jeff Gray

Check out this link. Find something that has a similar burn rate. Though not interchangeable with the 5744 the end results should be very similar. Powder chart

4227 is available in OZ as I understand..

it is similar to 4759 in burn rate..

also you have 4198 down under and that is a great powder for reduced load data also...

I know you might have different numbers on them...but they are distributed in OZ by ADI, who makes them for Hodgdon..
