Welcome....you are mixing two different terms and measurements.....the case length is just the brass length...and my Hodgdon manual shows the case to be 2.040 to 2.020 in length.....the best way to find your exact trim to length of your chamber is with a case length gauge from Sinclair or do a chamber cast with cerrosafe......the OAL is the term for the whole case and bullet together....and with a single shot break open like you have the OAl isn't critical for fuction as it would be in a bolt gun or auto......you watch for high pressure with the bullet touching the rifling and back off the touch the rifling distace a .010 at a time and find the best most accurate seating depth for your gun/chamber.....Stoney Point makes a good gauge to help with finding that distance easily......and then a good seater die will let you make seating depth changes in a exact amount......hth...good luck and good shooting-loading!!
