Check the supply at midway-usa......they have a very extensive inventory. If it's available it's likely to be at Midway. /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." You are very limited. I believe speer is the only one. Grafs has the 130BT but is sold out of the 130flat base As usual just my $.02 Paul K

I've checked Midway and Sinclair nada Speer 130 gr hotcor only you would think more would be available. I like the idea of being a little faster and lighter in my 708 than the ever popular 140gr as these deer here are small but far off and don't want to ruin a guarter of meat yet be able to shoot out to 300 yards. I am making a load for the Speer 130 gr and if it is accurate I'll just have to buy a bunch "I will not raise taxes on those making more than 250k"

Have a good look at the Barnes TTSX 120 in 7 mm. I'm using it in my 7 X 57 for deer.....a real zinger with some serious range! /////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// "Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy, its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." +1! Michael, I use the Barnes 120 gr. TSX's also in 7x57R. Excellent small(ish) Deer load (Roe Deer but also Fallow, Red Hinds, ect.) that packs a wallop with a really nifty $0.25-sized (behind the shoulder) Cookie-Cutter exit wound w/o tearing up alot of meat. Excellent accuracy & terminal performance. Yeah, they're alot more expensive than standard vanilla-flavored .284" 130 gr. Cup & Core bullet-oes but they really deliver the Goods. that was my second choice but I am a little reluctant to take a quartering shot at 300 yards w/ a 120 gr bullet, no problem with a140 gr but want some meat left. You guys think a 120 TTSX from 7-08 would penetrate enough for a quartering shot at 300 yards? "I will not raise taxes on those making more than 250k"

Probably would, but I'm not a fan of Politically Correct Bullets(PCBs). The 130gr Speer Hot-Cor and the 130gr Speer SPBT both work fine out there. I'd give the nod to the 130gr SPBT because it Expands just a bit easier at the Lower Velocities than the Hot-Cor. But both work fine. Speer used to make a 120gr Hot-Cor which is/was very reliable and Nosler makes a 120gr B-Tip. I've had good performance with both up-close. I've used the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Generation 120gr B-Tips and they got "Tougher" as the Design matured. I never used any in a 50-count box though, which is the current Generation. Only time I've had to "hold shots" was when I was Hunting over Beans, the Deer were out in them and I didn't have a Partition in the rifle(irregardless of the Cartridge). The Partitions will drive through 1-row of Beans when the Deer are standing right next to them, even when the Beans are Green. But it gets iffy when more than 1-row is involved. Good Hunting and clean 1-shot Kills.

I wouldn't hesitate taking the shot! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

Michael, At last count, this is the third thread you have asked the same questions in. Just load up either the 120 or 140 gr. TTSX. The 140 gr. will not do "more meat damage". Go hunting, have fun, good luck! Bob There is room for all of God's creatures....right next to the mashed potatoes. http://texaspredatorposse.ipbhost.com/
