I have no idea, but I think that Hornady Frontier brass is made by Winchester.

Cool, I was diggin through my factory ammo brass and found a box of once fired .270 frontier. Weights just like Winchester and it doesnt have crimp marks on the neck.

I was shorting and preping some stored rem brass(about 8-10grs heavyer than win) and it has all kinds of neck cracks.

What a scroung Big Grin

Hey Vapo...any idea who made the hornady match grade brass available in the last 5-6 years?/ I can't think win was making the 300 wby. I have some and was cursing it for it seemed to have really soft primer pockets.....but it sure seemed to have an accuracy edge over other brands for some reason. I'm now kind of hoarding my last bit of it. The price has gone up big time in the past 4 years....used to buy it for aboout $24/50----now it's about the same price as regular wby.....about a buck a case!

I'm not sure of this but I believe that's Hornady's own brass made in Grand Island.

I have a bunch of Hornady brass in several calibers but have never used it because I had been told, years ago, that it was sometimes made by Winchester, sometimes by Remington. I'll have to check out the weights.

For argument sake, lets say this was true.....why would this stop anyone from using it?

There often seems to be some anti-Hornady feeling prevalent on a few of these boards, like the anti Leupold feelings. Hornady equipment and components have always given me excellent results for a fair price. So incidentally have Leupold products.
