What is Fastex? Is it a moly or what? What are the advantages of using it and what are the cons of using it? Thanks, slygunner

sly, I have used their products since they came out and I read about it in 'Varmint hunter' magazine. I don't use it in all of the ways that they say it can be used, but I do use it a lot. Their grease is about the best I have ever used and their oil is superb. The barrel spray oil I use in my shotguns. I stay away from anything except 'Tetra' in my rifle barrels. They say that it should be used in rifle barrels as well as used to coat bullets. I haven't tried that either. I use it as my all-around-oil and grease. The shotgun barrel lube as stated. I heat internal parts that are out of the gun with my shop blow drier and apply the oil or grease and allow it to melt. It's the best way to treat the metal and it stays with it. I am down to using their oil, grease, & barrel spray, (shotgun), and Tetra oil. Thats it for lubes for me. It is a very small micron oil product and is in no way similar to moly. I have removed all of the moly from my barrels and don't use moly bullets any more. They have technical information that you can learn all about the product. I would recommend that you give it a try. The only problem that I see is that it's mail order and not at the local store. All the best, Sam
