Anyone has reloading experience with Swift A-Frame 500 grain bullets in 470 NE? I have used A-Frame bullets in other (smaller...) calibres, and find them to be superb hunting bullets. Usually, these are loaded with less powder than traditional cup-and core bullets due to the stiff construction. I would assume that a smaller powder charge should be used on A-Frames than for example Woodleigh RN SN also in 470 NE?

I shot them in my Searcy and they were accurate and killed buffalo well indeed, as one would suspect.. I used the same loads I used with Woodleighs..but I always shot my .470 at 2020 FPS as it killed Buffalo every bit as well as the Searcy regulation load of 2245 FPS, both shot to same POI in my rifle..Lot more fun shooting my load, oh so much more fun!! I shot A-Frames in my Merkel 470. I have the Swift loading manual I can check the load data if you have a powder preference.
