Does anyone out there reload .357 SIG, .400 Cor-Bon, or other bottleneck pistol cases?

Do you have to lubricate cases to size them?

Are carbide dies available?

Thanks,

H.C.

I don't know if you have to lube them to get them to go through the die, but you should. It sounds like you need to buy a can of spray case lube, the stuff is great and not much hassle to use at all.

I don`t load the sig or cor bon, but to my knowledge the only time you don`t need to lube cases is when useing a carbide or titanium nitride sizer. This is true when loading both bottle neck and straight wall cases, although a tight chamber and a die on the large side "might" let you get away without it. I don`t know of anyone making carbide dies for bottle neck cartridges and think the cost would be a killer if you do find someone. If you`re loading large batchs of ammo one of the spray lubes is probibly the easiest to use.

Yes they have to be lubed just like rifle caseings. No carbine dies out there use the spray lubes they work great.

I know of no company that makes a carbide die for anything other than a straight case, and as was said, yes, you need to lube bottle necked pistol cases or you will most likely stick them the same as a rifle case.
