The best match shooters FL size and the benchrest shooters neck size. As far as your rifle goes one would have to try it each way. What's unknown is if the chamber is even lined up with the bore?

In general function trumps groups and a FL case is more reliable.

I FL almost everything. Too many guns to keep track of otherwise.

I agree with Savage 99...I full length resize all my hunting gun ammo, as feed and function takes precident over accuracy...I neck size my varmint and target loads...

As a matter of fact, in all my present hunting rifles, I can't tell any difference in accuracy between neck sizing and full length. probably get a little less case life with full length resizing, but I don't use old brass to hunt with so its a moot question here.

If that ain't the truth.....

I've sighted in several .270s this fall for folks and all of them shot extremely fine groups after free floating the barrels.....Full length resizing is all I ever do for hunting rounds.

I F/L size everything. Have given most of my neck dies away. As my esteemed colleagues noted above, there was no accuracy advantage to neck sizing. There has been an accuracy advantage to using type "S" F/L dies and micrometer style match seating dies.

I full length size, but do not push the shoulder back, and do not use the expander ball.
