I'd be willing to pay for a dummy round. PM me if anyone is interested. Love shooting precision and long range. Big bores too! Recent college grad, started a company called MK Machining where I'm developing a bullpup rifle chassis system.

I shoot a 6mmAI on a Savage long action. After having a 6mm Rem on a Rem 700 short action, I think you would have to be insane to build a 6mmAI on a short action if you are planning to load long heavy bullets. That's why I used the long action. I went with a 9 twist, but mostly only use bullets in the 80-95gr range. I think if you look at the drop charts, you might not need to get into the heavy bullets because you won't be gaining much. As for dummy rounds, I think you'll have a hard time finding any, mostly because there are few 6mmAI shooters. Personally I can't help out with a dummy round either. After buying Norma 7x57mm brass, forming, neck turning, fire-forming, and with only 40 pieces of it, I really don't have any to spare.

If you are just looking at length, you don't need a dummy of an AI. A dummy of a standard 6MM will give you the length you want. Just load a standard case to the length you want.
