Just wondering if anyone can help with loads using Hodgen/ADI powders for an 8x56R Austrian M95 carbine. I have access to Prvi brass & 208gn .330 projectiles. Locally I can only source ADI powders, which are the same as Hodgen. I'm looking forward to getting the little beast shooting but am having trouble finding any data for these components.

Can't help with the hodgdon powders but the following is some info that you maybe able to cross reference. I swaged down some hornady 338 cal 200 grainers and a few 225's. My gun wasn't very accurate....not sure if it was the bullets or the rough looking barrel. 200gr I3031 44.5 2280fps 206 factory ammo 2290 200 I4350 55.0 2188 200 re22 56.0 2125 225 rer22 54 2030

Among your locally available powders, both Varget and 4350-clone powders work very well with that bullet in that case. If you can't find data, I'd suggest working up carefully from the basic lowest starting loads of 8x57 data with 200 grain bullets...less 1 grain to compensate for the 8 grains difference in bullet weight. (The 8x56 is 1 mm shorter, but is bigger both at the base and the neck. The bore and groove diameters are also bigger in the 8x56, which acts to reduce pressure a bit, thereby approximately off-setting the small additional weight of the .330" bullet.) My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.
