I have only reloaded for bolt guns, no semi-autos. I now have a AR that I need to load for. I see nothing about small base dies in manuals. Question is can I use my regular dies to load for this?

Most people use Full Length dies for AR's. Small Base aren't necessary and they overwork the cases.

I wouldn't go to small base dies unless I had feeding problems with the AR-15.

Thanks alot guys. Thats what I needed to hear. I load for same caliber for T/C contender.

The only use I have for small base dies is to resize surplus brass that has been fired in a
"generously" cut chamber. Such as found in machine guns.
