I sold my 300 Winchester and have a ton of reloads for them. Partitions and Accubonds mostly. I don't want to waste the money so I was wondering if a pulled bullet is ok accuracy wise and ok in all other way's to reload in my dad's 30=06 ? Thanks for the help.

I've done it plenty of times and never had a problem. Some bullets are scored where they were seated but once the rifling cuts into them it doesn't seem to matter.

Some of the surface copper turns to a plasma state anyway as it travels down the bore.

I've never had a problem with pulling and reloading. Just how far of a shot will your dad take with his .06?

Thanks Doc. We are not real comfortable out past 300 yards, no matter what were shooting.

You shouldn't have a problem reloading the pulled bullets.

If they were crimped after being seated, they may have a pretty good crimp ring but, they should still fly true at those distances.

as a matter of fact it'd surprise you just how badly one can deform the bullets pulling them and still have them perform well.

Here's my "one size fits all" bullet puller. I've tried other pullers designed for the job and this is better than anything yet...it just works well!!! Use it carefully and the bullets are almost unmarked.

Pulled bullets are fine if they are not scarred up too badly....I use a collet puller like Forrester and they come out looking new...

A friend died years ago and he had a zillion reloads around and the widow wanted them sold. We was afraid to sell reloads so we pulled all the bullets and sold primed brass and bullets separately. That tool was what did the job...there was folks with the collet pullers...(Sorry Ray...they're JUNK) but this thing is what always works.

Usually when I want to pull bullets it's one or two....I don't want to screw around pulling out the collet thing so I use this.....and toss the bullet or two.

Since I've learned (especially with cannelured bullets) they can be reloaded and fired as good as new. The tool grabs in the cannelure groove.

Now it's the only puller I use and even if it does mark the bullet a little they still shoot well.

Ever have one of those old military cases?....this pulls them but I destroy the bullets in the process....It takes a lot of "pull"

I know.....set them back first to loosen them in the case.....

I have pulled several caliber bullets and never had a problem at all and was using an old polycarbonate Lyman inertia puller.
