I have used J&B in several rifles and MLs and the Results have always been great. I have found it to improve accuracy and reduce fouling.

J&B is a great thing to use in new factory barrels where you might have sharp edges that lead to fouling and poor accuracy.

Depending on the shape of the barrel (how much it fouls and how accurate), I usually make 50-300 round trips down the barrel w/ a jag(patch thoroughly treated w/ J&B) replacing a patch after 50.

Good Luck!

Some Benchrest shooters use it and Kroil exclusively to clean their barrels. They clean several time a day during a match. I wouldn't use it 300 passes, but I would use it until you clean the copper out each time......DJ

trg,

Notice I said 50-300. You are certainly not going to hurt any barrel w/ J-B (Bore Cleaning Compound) by using this amount of strokes but, let me explain my uses of J-B alittle better.

When a fellow shooter or I has a rifle that fouls pretty bad after very few shots I try the 50 stroke method. If the rifle doesn't improve, well, I try alittle more.

When someone has given up on a rifle after long load developments w/ no success, then, I use 200 to 300 strokes and you would be surprised that it actually helps (alot in some instances).

I also lap a high number of strokes if someone has mistreated thier rifle and the barrel is rusted or fouled bad.

I use a High number of strokes when using J-B on MLers and I know for a fact that it works from several rifles I have treated w/ it. I had some MLs that I had totally given up on. After several hundred strokes of J-B, those rifles shoot great. J-B will really shine a barrel.

All barrels are lapped in some form or fashion when at the Smith or factory. Some are just not lapped enough, some factory rifles are in need of a good lapping job and the results can be very satisfactory.

Just givin' ya a few examples of how J-B has worked for me, I would never put any message on here that I thought would damage anyone's rifle.

Good Luck and God Bless,
