Hi, I am new and learning, I resized a few cases tonight and put too much lub I believe, I did not put any on the sholder but the came out slightly dented, is it the only reason and does it mean that they should go automaticly to the trash? Thanks for your input.

Load em and shoot them. The dents will come out when fired, no big deal. Lyle "I would remind you that extremism in the defense of liberty is no vice. I would remind you also that moderation in the pursuit of justice is no virtue." Barry M Goldwater.

YUMAN nailed it. I use Imperial Sizing wax, a very thin coat, on the case body up to just BELOW the shoulder. Then, for the necks, I use powdered graphite and a cue tip to put some inside the neck, and some around the neck outside. Not a lot of graphite required here either. If I put the Imperial Wax all the way up to the edge of the shoulder, some will migrate into the shoulder area of the die and will cause shoulder denting on cases. Don

Bob..... Since the dents are already present on your cases it means at one time or another you've probably used too much lube. It wouldn't hurt to disassemble the Die and give it a cleaning to ensure all the "too-muchness" is out of the Die. Like mentioned above it only take a little bit and I also use Imperial Sizing Wax; a good twirl around the fingers does it. I also purchased the Lymam Neck Lube Brushes for the powdered graphite that I've screwed to the relaoding bench right next to the Press to apply the powdered graphite to the insides of the neck, the by-product is it coats enough of the outside of the neck in the process that I normally only have to worry about enough lube on the "body" of the case up to the shoulder. The powdered graphite really helps eliminate the chatter from the expander ball. Cheers, Number 10
