Call Cabela's and tell them you think they sent you a defective unit?

Short44,
This may sound wierd but, do you have a cell phone within about 6 or so feet of it. Maybe even a cordless. Check/shutoff all electronics within about 10 or 12 feet and try again. Check for any magnets or magnetic surfaces too.
It took me a while to figure out the cell phone thing. I could try to calibrate my RCBS and go through the whole process you are seeing. I could also get it calibrated and leave it (no cell phone) then go back and watch it get all goofey.
Sorry folks, if it weren't for the job requiring it, that damn phone would not be in MY reloading room.

Keep us informed,
Smedley

I know on my chargemaster 1500 the second time it says "Cal 100" you take the weights off and it automatically switches to grains mode, and zero's out.

I have to be careful not to breathe on my electronic scales. Very sensitive to any air flow.

And cell phones, floresant lighting, or any other electrical magnetic field source that gets too close. I think it`s one of the Lyman manuals that I saw even the foam trays in cartridge boxes can disturb a digital.

I have a Dillon, although it works fine, it is too sensitive for even small breathing or any small wind, so i use my balance beams again.
