I was asked for the easiest way to make .30-40 Krag cases, starting from more common brass. Any suggestion ?

Difficlt to make 30-40 Krag from another brass, they are longer than .303 and 7x57R or 8x57R Mauser.
Length is 58.77 mm, Mauser 57 mm, .303 56.43 mm.
The best solution is to buy 30-40 brass.
You can get 30-40 Krag brass at reasonnable price from:www.tecmagex.com which is located in France but sells in Europe.

one of us Why bother trying to make it? Midway, for example, <www.midwayusa.com> has new Remington 30-40 brass for about $26 per hundred.

8X60R are very difficult to find!
Much more than 30-40 Krag!

one of us 3040 cases can be formed from 303 british cases very easily. The case will be a little shorter but they work just fine.
