Anyone have loads for RL22 in the 338-06 with 180 gr bullets and larger?

I think RL22 is just too slow for the cartridge. Nosler lists RL15 for all bullet weights in the 338-06, not a single RL22 load.

I agree as well that RL22 is TOO slow for the .338-06. RL19 is about as slow as I would go. I use only 225 and 250's but I've done well with both IMR4350 and H4350 Extreme. A good combination of accuracy , velocity and pressures within limits.

Listen to Frank N., he knows. You won't be able to get enough RL22 in the case to get max. vel. w/ any of the lighter bullets. I have had good luck w/ RL15 & IMR4320 & 200-210gr bullets. The slowest usefull powder is probably RL19.
