I shoot 59.8 gr of IMR 4831 with a Federal magnum primer and a Hornady 162 gr BTSP. This will shoot less than an inch in my rifle all day long. It isn't the fastest or hottest load, but it has taken over 40 heads of game with flawless performance.

I like my old Ruger model 77 to shoot H-4831 with 66gr. over a Nosler 150 BT for now. I did shoot 65 gr.of IMR 4831 over a 154 gr Hornady which I may go back to as I made my best shot ever with that load. The BT's seem a little explosive at anything under 100yds or so.I always got complete penetration with the Hornady's.

Hi POP, every load can be good for a rifle and bad for an other, so it's difficolt to find the right load for your rifle. In my Remington 700 bdl (24" barrel) a fantastic load is: 140g Nosler ballistic tip 69,0g Vihta N-560 powder Federal 215 primer Remington brass It shoot 0.6" at 110 yards at 3170 fps. An other good load is with IMR 4831 (67.0g) with Sierra 140g GK bullet. ciao FAINA
I think I found a sweet spot with My old Savage 110 PEL. 67.0 Grains H4831SC, Speer 160 btsp moly & Rem 9 1/5M primers. I chronographed the load at 30 deg. F. It was 2900 fps SD @ 11 fps.
I shoot 66 grs of IMR 4350 under the 139 Hornady flat-base in my 24" Rem 700. I haven't chronyed it yet, but it shoots very flat and is quite accurate. I am going to work up a bit in powder charge to see what it will do.
I am beginning to use a lot of IMR7828. My rifle seems to do very well with 66 grains of it with benchrest primers and 140 grain Ballistic Tips or Partition Bullets. They do not seem to shoot much differently and that pair of options in a box is exceedingly versatile. The first two bullets are within 1/2" of each other; the third is down and right a little, opens the group to 3/4". Very repeatable stuff, and 7828 seems to have a different feel when the rifle goes off ( yes, of course I could be imagining that ).

Thanx for all input guys. I have been using 79-80 gr of H870 for almost every 7mm rem mag that I owned or others owned and I reloaded for. I use this charge with the 162 gr Hornady BT. We have used this load in Savages, Senderos, Rugers etc. Every gun thus far loves this load. Accuracy tends to vary from 1.5" to 3.5" at 300 yds. Velocity is 2950-3150 pending on rifle. Everything from coyotes to elk has been taken with this load with no problems. I have not tried it on my new SAKO 75 hunter yet. The reason I posted the original question was to get a little insight as to what the rest of the 7mm rem mag shooting world is using. Thanx
