Spent about 20 min searching but couldn't find anything. I'm looking for a pelt friendly .223 load for close up night calling fox's and Bobcats. Does anyone have some pelt friendly bullets and loads they would suggest? Thanks Ricky

I like the Sierra 50 grain Blitz in a 223 loaded with H322. I haven't had one exit yet. Sierra # 1340. NRA Life Member HHI Member SCI Member "get busy living... or get busy dying"

Sierra Blitz or Hornady SX. Tiny entry hole and no exit.

I've used the 50gr Speer TNT (Part# 1030)(Edit in CORRECT Part#!!!) for a very long time and it does right well. Prior to that I used the 52gr Speer HP (Part#1035) which has a LARGE Hollow Point. I asked a somewhat similar question on the Varmint Board to see if there was anything better to prevent Ricochets. There were a lot of recommendations for a 35gr Hornady V-Max which I had not tried. Best of luck to you.

How close is "cloes up night calling?" Have you considered a shotgun if you can call the animal in close enough?
