I have a box of 195 gr 7mm original Barnes that I would like to load for a 93 Mauser. It will be a pokey, shuffling along round, but I think hogs @ 100 yds will not mind. Just have this one box and want to use them up safely. Anyone loaded these for this action?

If you wait long enough you get to answer your own inquiries.
Barnes gave me the info I asked about and of their choices I am going with IMR 4350 40 grains (2100f/s) and see what happens. Being a close range shooter makes me easy to please. A B.C. of .570 and 195 grain plugged into Norma's ballistic program shows a more than adequate performance out of this combination of 93 Mauser and 195 grain Original Barnes.
Wonder what else I can ask to answer myself?

shameIf those are Original Barnes' bullets that Fred made, you may very well have a collecters item. Fred stopped making those in the early 70s. If they are of a more recent vintage fire away; if they stabalize. beerroger

Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! Some never pay and some pay and never reap the reward. Wisdom comes with age! Sometimes age comes alone..
