Shot some handloads today searching for the combo my Rem 700 30-06 likes best. Barrel is 24". Since I don't have a chrono, would some of you more experienced reloaders give me an idea as to MV? Bullet is 180gr Nosler Partition. They all shoot equally well, just wondering what kind of speed I'm getting.

Load one is 57gr of IMR4350, WLR primers, Fed cases

Load two is 56.5 gr - IMR 4350, WLR primers, Fed cases.

Load three is 60.0 gr - Reloader 22, WLR primers, Fed cases.

These might be making somewhere around 2,750'/sec to 2,800'/sec. You should be about maxed out there.

Get a shooting chrony.....they're not expensive and then you know.....no guessing then.

Is right on the money.

As long as we are guessing, I'd guess closer to 2650 - 2700.

You can get a refurbished chrony for $50 on their website. I bought one recently to use as a "spare" and it works fine.
