Does anyone reload Zero brand bullets? In particular, jacketed pistol bullets? Even more specific, 44 caliber jacketed pistol bullets?

I have purchased local Zero brand bullets for years and have never had any negative issues. I bought 6k 45cal 230gr JHP bullets and dearly love them.

The issue I am questioning now is with 44cal bullets by Zero. All the 44cal bullets I have ever reloaded are 0.429" - 0.430" diameter. These Zero brand 44cal JSP bullets are 0.431". Follow the link...

Has anyone experienced any bad reloading experiences with these 0.431" bullets? Does anyone foresee an issue with reloading these bullets?

I shoot a Ruger Super Blackhawk, 44-Mag w/7-1/2" barrel.

Thank you in advance...

Don't make no difference in lead bullets; as long as they will chamber. Fit the throats, not the barrel, is the rule in revolvers. In fact, 431s will work better, gas sealing and all.

Thanks for the input.... These are NOT lead cast bullets. They are Jacketed Soft Point bullets.

Thanks...

I have not used a jacketed 44 bullet of .431 that I know of. I normally use Hornady and I believe they are .430. I wouldn't have a concern using one. Just start low and work up.

I do find it interesting that their lead bullet is .430 and the jacketed is .431.

As usual just my $.02

Will they fit through your cylinder throats? Have a .44 ruger here somewhere, I will measure it. Personally, I would just shoot them.

I didn't measure my cylinder like you did.

I honestly wouldn't expect a problem because they are obviously still selling them with 0.431" dia without any functional problems.

I was just questioning this as all other manufacturers bullets are 0.429"-0.430".
