Has anyone used these bullets??? Are the claims of .930bc on a .30 220gr for real?? If all this is right it seems to this long distance novist like there has to be a downside (other than the $$$).

I've been by the plant several times, I've seen the targets. The b.c.'s are real. One of the downsides is that these bullets require a mighty tight twist, because they are long for weight. FWIW, Dutch.

The B.C.'s are for real. I haven't used the 220's but I do use the 180 gr. J36's exclusively in my .30-378. They are the best bullet that I've ever used. The price is the only down side.

Good shooting,

Hi all,

I'm new here, but post frequently at biggerhammer.com (.50 BMG specific site) adn sniper's paradise.com (very professionally run sniping website).

I recently did the trigger pulling job for THEIS and Warren Jensen of Lost River Ballistic Tech. As for Warren Jensens bullets, the BCs are past real. I was with Warren in Idaho last month test shooting the new .408 CheyTac rifle, using warren's 419 gr. J40 match bullet and his load.

The gun system was sub minute of angle to 2100 yards and 1.6 MOA at 2300 yards. The vertical string was sub-MOA while horizontal was 1.6 due to wind deflection changes.

The design of the 408 bullet is being patented by warren. We measured downrange ballistic co-efficient and it actually gained in value from .903 at the muzzle to .91314 (values corrected to sea level standard air conditions from the conditions at the test site).

Bullet at those conditions was supersonic at 3300 yards. Air conditions were 26.15 in Hg., 51 deg air temp, ammo temp was 70 degrees with a muzzle velocity of 2890 fps. I have photos of the session and printed results of the test in addition to a sensitivity analysis of the .408 vs. the other military sniping cartridges, 308, 300 Win Mag, 338 Lapua and 50 BMG.

Go to www.chenennetactical.com for details on the gun system and more test results.

That is really interesting. Could somebody post some sort of website link or an address where I could buy a few of the bullets to test out. I have a 308 Win. which has a 1-9 twist barrel and would like to try some suitable VLD bullets.
