Was just by one of the local reloading stores I use and they had a box of Hornady 100 gr hp's for about 1/2 price that I couldn't pass up. Thought these might be kind of fun for some springtime varmints. I usually use RL22 for my hunting rounds in the 150's and 160', but should I use a faster powder for such a small bullet in the 7mag?

I used to shoot those out of mine over IMR4831. Pretty devistating on ground squirrels. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!

For 100 grainer I would use: H-414 From 58.6 grains to 66.0 grains CCI-200 Primer

Crows turn into a red & black mist 120 Sierra HP's do pretty well too. MontMike, H414 is the same as Winchester 760, or so I've been told. Lt. Robert J. Dole, 10th Mountain, Italy.
