Came home with the Model 7 Magnum in 300 SAUM with 22 inch bbl.The factory 180 Partitions went 3007 and just over 1 inch.anybody got a load that would aproximate that 180 factory load.if I can get anywhere close to that I will be a happy man.

You will probably need to wait until they sell the new Core-Lok bullets to reloaders.

WOW... that's screamining! You chrono'd those? Me thinks you lucked-out and got a "fast" barrel. I believe I got a "slow" barrel with my M70 300 WSM (24" bbl)... it only did 2,980 fps with factory 180's. When I cut the barrel to 22" velocity went 2,910 fps with H4350 and 2,940 fps with RL22 and 180's... I found those two the best powders and would bet they'd be ideal in the 300 SAUM as well.

unreal, i'm getting 2900 out of my 300saum bdl ss 24" using 66gr. rl-22. shoots great, but a bit slower than yours. might have to drop $30 and check out a box of factory 180's. for more info on loads, check out www.shortmags.org , dedicated to all things shortmag related. dh

Winchester uses W760 in their factory ammo and in many of the loads I've seen listed W760 is right up there in velocity.

gonna start out with the 180 sierra and A-2700,and see how things go from there.will wind up hunting with the noslers but there a little high to work up loads with.I have come to learn over the years that you can work a load with the same weight Sierra and pretty much change over to the Nosler. You may loose a couple tenths in your group but gain the world in killing performance.

I would suggest trying re-19 powder. The re-22 is a little slow for my taste.

sscoyote,
The Remington neck is slightly longer at .3115" compaired to the Winchester at .2979". That's only .0136" difference.
Good shooting,
