Hornady's 150gr RN Interlock SKU # 3035 is a flat base round nosed bullet with a cannelure for use in the 30-30 cartridge.

Of course it can be used in any high speed .308 bore firearm and long as the bullet impact velocity doesn't exceed the 30-30's impact velocity by much.

The link below will take you to this bullet on the Hornady site: http://www.hornady.com/store/30-Cal-.308-150-gr-RN/

When you goto Hornady via the above link, click on the "Related Items" tab.
The 2 related products that are shown are 30-30 Win unprimed cases and the 30-30 Win 2-die set.

I used Hornady's 180 gr RN infront of 60 gr of RL-22 for this pig.

Cool looking rounds and they stop pigs on their tracks !!

Hey Lorenzo, That sure is one fine Hog. They call them Rushoons(Russians) in the Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina mountains.

All the Southeastern USA has wild Hogs, but most are Domestic Hogs which escaped captivity. Then in a couple of breeding cycles they tend to get wild. But they don't get the Russian blood-line unless they just happen across one to breed with.

How much did it weigh?

Hi Hot Core,

I guess it was aprox. 120+ kilos (around 240 lbs?). But I am not sure, I am also a fisherman so I always see them bigger Big Grin

Here in my country they are like the one of the picture (european blood) but with some domestic blood from time to time (see the white hoof)of the front leg. Also sometimes they have a small pink spot on their nose.

The Hornady's round noses work really good on my 30-06. Also I love the Remington's CL in 150 gr (on my 270 win) that are also semi round nose.

The following night I kill these three other ones. Notice the white hoofs and the pink nose on the sow of the left...

Thanks Lorenzo! I'd have guessed that first Hog at 350-400#. Obviously I need to go Kill some and get my "eyeball scales" re-calibrated. Big Grin

I see what you mean about the Pink snouts and White feet.

Hard to beat a Heavy for caliber Standard Grade Bullet. tu2

I've never taken a hog, of course I have never hunted them either..in Calif, the license is cheap, even for out of staters.. and they have plenty of them..

back on the subject of RN bullets..

for straight punch and killing ability.. I know two folks locally that hunt with Weatherbys and load round nose bullets in them.. and have seen them hit game...

one is a 300 Weatherby with a 220 grain RN at about 2950 fps.... for elk they use the 220 grain SMP partition...

and the other is a 338/378 loaded with 250 grain Hornady RNs..which was a replacement for his 340 Weatherby that he had loaded with 250 gr RN Hornadys..

more devastation potential than I need, but they certainly are not undergunned and also the rounds certainly are up to about any task you ask of them in the lower 48...
