I have a 24 inch barrel with a 1 in 12 twist in 6mm PPC. How heavy a bullet will it stabilize?

Most PPC's use a 1x14 twist, which usually limits bullet weight to 75grs or less. With a 1x12 twist in 6mm bullets up to 110gr should stabilize just fine.

I wouls say 70gr if it has a plastic tip, maybe 80-85gr in a less sleek style(hunting spitzers)

A12 twist PPC will shoot 85 Sierra boattails very well but this about the limit in length. One I built years ago on a sleeved XP100 action shot both 85s and 70s at the .250" level. Regards, Bill.
