My 6mm Remington -- a Remington 700 Varmint Special with a heavy 24 inch barrel; it is the older one with the pressed checkering on the stock -- gives good accuracy only with IMR 4064 powder, of all the many powders I've tried in it. I'd recommend about 41 grains as a max load of it with 85 grain bullets. Start lower and work up.

I have a Rem 700 sporter in 6mm Rem. I tried 45 gr.of N150 with 85gr Sierra's this year.Groups have been in the 1/2" area. This load is at or over max so start at least 10% below and work up.
