Have you pushed a wadcutter faster than factory? How fast have you chrono'd your wadcutter handload? Were you satisfied with it?

1000fps. Leaded the barrel fairly badly. I suppose one could harden some A lot better choices out there for shooting fast.

I'm going to try powder coating some 44 Spl 200 gr wadcutters.

I don't load any .44 wadcutters, but I load lots of .38 Specials. I load for uniformity, which translates to accuracy. 775fps

A double -ended wad cutter can be pushed to the max when powder coated. You cannot push a hollow base wad-cutter to the max as you will blow out the skirt as it leaves the muzzle. You will get severe leading at the forcing cone out of a revolver. Gulf of Tonkin Yacht Club NRA Endowment Member President NM MILSURPS

Or you can turn it around with that gapping hole in the rear and load it up..Works well in a snub nose 38 special and expands, making it a decent combat round..We use to do that back in the day when all depts only allowed the use of round nose 38s that got more officers injured or killed than any other round known to man..sorry political bastards..
