Hi all again but as i am new to this I am probably going to bug you for weeks to come so , chin up , dig yer heels in cause I am a slow learner! And teaching myself from scratch knowing nothing from the beggining. I have ordered pretty much all I think I need to reload for my little beast and its arriving daily in drips and drabs. One thing I am short though is Heads/Bullets. Being in the UK and only shooting deer here for the meantime what would you recommend??? In the following weights .... bearing in mind please I want to load as light as possible for now. These are all that are available to buy so what should I start with. I want fragmentation , reason being for those who have not had the Opportunity to visit Mud Island: there is never a place to be without someone litrally being in your pants ( never far away for someone) so I have to be safe. Obviously I want the velocity that Weatherby offers but as usual optimum accuracy for humaine shots. Hornady 200gr SP Hornady 200gr FP Nosler 180gr spitzer hunting ballistic tip " 200gr " " " " C Technology 200gr hunting ballistic silvertip Speer 200gr spitzer And thats it I am afraid! For the 180's I would use: IMR-4831 From 84.0 grains to 88.0 grains Federal 215 Primer For the 200's I would use: RL-22 From 82.0 grains to 92.0 grains Federal 215 Primer As for bullet choice, of the bullets you listed, I would go with the Speer 200 grain. However, if you are open to a suggestion, I would have you seriously consider the Sierra 215 SPT. And, put it on top of: IMR-4831 From 72.6 grains to 86.3 grains Federal 215 Primer | |||
