I WAS WONDERING,IF ANYONE OUT THERE HAS EVER PULLED THE BULLET FROM A 7.62X39. THEN RELOAD IT USING A 30 CAL. SABOT WITH A 22 CAL. BULLET? I KNOW THEY MAKE 5.45X39, BUT WOULD LIKE TO KEEP TO 22 CAL. ANY OPINIONS?

22-30cal. sabots may not be so accurate!
Why not rebarrel to 22ppc.

the greater powder capacity would of the 7.62x39 casing should push the 52gr. boattail faster than 3300 ft/sec by the calculation from the lymans reloading manual. Also, i could keep the 7.62 for larger varmints

My brother is shooting 55's in his 300WSM at 4500fps but the 7.62x39 would probably work better for accuracy. Let us know how it shoots.
