in my mutt mexican mauser 708 (started with a 7mag barrel) they shoot 1/2", and in my striker pistol, it's one hole. The rifle is my wife's, and she had been loaning it to the sons of my friends... little one dinged the scope and got an attitude (his dad) that he missed the next shot. to date they have accounted for 11 hogs, 20-210# 2 "mouflon" rams 1 corsican jeffe

I load and bench test for my dad's 7-08 Model 7, 18.5" barrel. I had it at the range last Friday and shot a few groups in the high 8's and low 9's with 100gr Sierra's, which is very good for this rifle. It normally doesn't shoot anything very well. The load was 45.5gr of Winchester 748 in partial full-length resized fireformed Remington cases, CCI BR-2 primers. Overall cartridge length was 2.692". These were shot in 100 degree temperature, with a 15mph wind, left to right. My 7-08AI doesn't shoot the 100 Sierra's as well as I'd like, so I tried 110gr Speer MHP-Moly coated. They shot considerably better.
