Just got my first 270win. figured I would start out with the classic 130gr bullet. I don't handload yet but was wondering what kind of performance to expect from the Hornady SST at ranges less than 100 yards. Would the standard Hornady Spire Point do better at closer ranges?
What have you guys seen?

badger over at www.24hourcampfire.com on the Big Game board uses them and likes them really well. I've seen him shoot his rifle with them and they are quite accurate.
