I do it all the time. The resulting case is shorter, but thats no issue unless you have a crimp die set up for the 280 case. In fact, the shorter 30-06 case lets you skate a while longer before trimming cases. It does give a false shouder for headspacing, and if loading is as crazy at your house as it is mine, it helps segregate once- fired cases from others. At any rate... form to your heart's delight!

Has anyone made 280 brass from 30-06 brass? It looks like you could just resize the 30-06 brass and then there would be a ridge left to control headspace. Then just fireform.

10-4. Moving to rural east texas. Want to keep my 280 fed, and I have a ton of once fired 30-06.
