I am curious about how the owners of 8x57 J or 8x57 JR owners reload when they have to use the old .318 diameter bullet. What bullets are available in this diameter? What reloading dies are available? _________________________________ AR, where the hopeless, hysterical hypochondriacs of history become the nattering nabobs of negativisim.

for a rechambered rifle in 8x60 I use normal "S" dies after the calibration rod is changed to .318". RWS and S&B make .318" bullets, I had some old Norma 196 grains, I used 7x64 brass after forming them and getting a slightly more important wall thickness. HTH

Wink, I don't know if you can get Woodleigh bullets in France, but otherwise Woodleigh seems to make a .318 cal 200 grs bullet. Check the 8mm section on this page: http://www.woodleighbullets.com.au/Bullet%20List%202.html#anchor - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... I use to make .318" bullets for resale. I just used a "draw down" die to draw down .323" bullets to .318" and they were fine... 2-1/2 thousands on a side isn't going down very much at all, so it's easy and painless! I did it mostly for friend/customer of mine when i was mfg-ing ammo, as my own 8x57JRS uses .323" bullets so i don't have to do this fir myself... DM
